High Rise Forming
Participants will learn about various formwork systems, how to build forms and conduct formwork related calculations, and the principles of concrete. They will gain experience assembling, bracing, and removing forms used for making stairs, landings, slabs, columns and walls . They will also learn how to properly store forms. In addition, they will learn to fly the form table and also communicate with the swamper.
Trainees in this program are exposed to “Fly Forms” as well as many other tasks specific to this sector. It will also include working with bracing and forming materials, and additional construction materials specific to this sector. Work in this sector does involve heights as possible exposure to high winds, as well as, cold temperatures.
